Let me know if this is too off topic. Sorry I just don't really go on any other guitar related forums much.

The only stuff I've found is on Allparts: http://www.allparts.com/2-Conductor-Wire-p/gw-0834-000.htm

But it would be nice to find some with red and white or red and black wires on the inside to match what most pickups have on them already. I'd rather have a stranded or braided shield, not foil. Gotta be pretty thin and flexible, you know.

Tried looking through the mouser catalog but it's pretty confusing and most of those wires seem too thick, and expensive.

StewMac.com is where I get most of my stuff.  Not sure if they have exactly what you want, but worth a look.

Yeah they only have 1 conductor and 4 conductor. Thanks though

Go to any computer-supply store and buy a cable that connects a CD drive to your sound card.  These are about 12-18" long, have a white, black, and red insulated stranded wire, plus a shield inside another insulation.  The overall diameter slender enough to fit through just about any routing on a guitar.  That cable will let you do pretty much any sort of coil gymnastics you want.

Is it "audiophile quality"?  Nah, but at those lengths, the quality has little bearing, and the shielding is acceptable.  Some places have them for peanuts, though places that have them bubble-packed and hanging on a hook will usually want a couple bucks.

Good idea Mark.  As a side note, I've picked up these cables for free before from computer repair places.  A lot of times they have a bunch in a box out back, doesn't hurt to ask.
