What "other" thread?

You realize the post you're quoting was more than 6 months old right? anyway, it's all water under the bridge, everyone has moved on as far as I  know.

Doc's can be found here: www.classicamplification.net/forumvibe

yes, but i missed all the drama, so i was curious as to what went on :)

Your avitar cracked me up (litterally).

Anyway, we're past all that, moving forward, ...anything I can do for ya now aside from digging up old stuff/crap/shite?

I just emailed you. Looking for the parts layout portion o the project files, don't see 'em on the site.

Go to: http://classicamplification.net/forumvibe/

On the default webpage you will see a series of links, click the "Build a Forum-Vibe" link,

On the next webpage you would choose what build you are interested in doing, click the build you want to do,

Then follow the webpages along, you will see a "Back" and "Next" link at the bottom of each page which you can use to move through the documentation.

Note that on some pages there are links to other info, hover your mouse over things that look different (than the standard text) if your mouse pointer changes to a hand, it's a link.

One important link for instance, in the "Forum-Vibe Mod's" build webpages, there is a link "Click here for the diagram using BC549 transistors" and if you click it, it shows the layout orientation for BC549 types, be aware of proper pin-out orientation for the transistors you use.
(it's the #1 build error)

Going to the LT part would be a good idea. Give the bulb all the current it wants. It'll be happier. Watch for secondary issues like the charge pump converter sucking pulses of current on the ground wire and causing whine issues. Putting a BFC across the charge pump right at the pump so it can suck current locally instead of wiggling the power supply lines is also a good idea, as is putting some 0.1 and 0.01uF ceramics close to the charge pump to keep the impedance into the pump low at RF as well.

R.G, could you elaborate on this, please?
I have built a vibe using a charge pump and I have whine issues...
It happens especially when I set the offset/bias low (1/3 or lower).
I used MC33063 instead of the LT, but I guess it's not fundamentally different.
What's a BFC?
