Over the past couple of days, I built the six band equalizer from general guitar gadgets. I made my own PCB using the toner transfer layout, and ordered all of my parts from mouser. Anyways, I finally got around to soldering everything together, and in the attached audio file is the problem I am facing.

I apologize for coming off as rude in what I am about to say, but 57 views and no reply? Are you kidding me? Do people even know about this circuit or is it just one of those particular builds that is on the "blacklist of things you just do not touch?"

There's a sticky right at the top of the board entitled "DEBUGGING - What to do when it doesn't work".  Follow that and you'll get a reply.

And demanding a reply from people who help us electronically clueless people out of the goodness of their hearts is, as you point out, pretty rude.  The board is pretty slow on weekends, especially Easter weekend.  Follow the debugging thread and ask nicely.  Answers will come.

I noticed in your audio clip you made reference to the DC supply being used to power your whole pedal board, a common problem with this is that it won't work using a DC supply if that supply is powering anything else. This is because of how they implemented the bipolar supply, I'm not sure that would cause the problem you're having in bypass though.

If you want to make it work with a DC supply powering other pedals have a look at the mods I posted here http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=63696.0

Other than that I'd do what trjones said and follow this http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=29816.0

Hope this helps.
