Hi all, my first post here.

I'm reasonably new to building and don't like using PCB, so I was wondering if anyone had any tips or knew of good sites for working out perfboard layout...

Cheers,
Al.

Check out the "Layouts Gallery" link at the top of the screen here.

I work pretty much only in Vero with a bit of P2P however love the work in there!

Welcome!

If you are looking to design your own perf layout, check out the sticky at the top of the page titled "DIY Layout Creator". It is fairly intuitive and easy to learn.

Working out a good perf layout is exactly the same as working out a good PCB layout - that's why it's called prototyping board. You can build a PCB layout onto perf to test it, then go to PCB when it's verified. I've made many perf builds following a PCB layout, you just gotta get used to making nice long straight track out of cut off resistor legs and solid core.............I used to make perf layouts using DIYLC, I don't bother anymore, just make a PCB layout but build it onto perf. DIYLC PCB layouts are far easier to read than DIYLC perf layouts.
