Couple of things on JFET matching and the FET Tester?

So im thinking of building a Dirty Little Secret and a Okko Diablo (both FET based).

Will i need to match the transistors in these like i would a phase 90?

On the phase 90 note, i worked on a clone on vero. I need to match my J201's so i whipped up RG Keens tester on vero.
My question is how do i do te off board wiring on this? Where does the ground go and such?

Matching JFETs is only necessary when more than 1 are harnessed to some source of modulation and need to modulate the same way.  That is true of things like phasers, which need multiple stages doing the exact same thing at the same time in order to produce the effect, but is NOT true of drive circuits like the ones you mention.

I would still encourage you to socket the JFETs in those circuits, if ony to experiment with different ones to see what you like.  But matching them is not pertinent in this application.

awesome, thanks a lot!

anyone know how to wire the tester?

Considering it only has six parts, do you really need help with that?

not really... just confused with where to wire the ground?

It goes to the negative end of the battery/PSU. The "+9Vdc" goes to the positive end of the battery/PSU. Not sure what's confusing you here...
