What type of capacitor is this?

I picked these capacitors up at my favorite parts supplier ( http://www.apexelectronic.com/index.htm ), Apex Electronics, awhile back.
Apex is damn near all NOS stuff, and they don't really have an inventory list, so I can't really ask them.
They work like a cap should. I have about 50 of them, and they are all serialized.
Just wondering if one of you smarter than me folks has any idea as to what TYPE of capacitors they are? Just curious.
Thanks.

I've got some that look very similar to that and they were described as Micro Plastic Capacitors, 25V so I assumed some sort of polyester film based on the small size.  What dimensions are they?  Mine are around 4.2mm x 2.5mm and look more like a diode with the cathode marker worn off. :)

Mine are 7mm x 2.5mm

You have more info than I had. I googled, wiki'ed etc.
Mine are 0.01uf

Those are pretty mojo. I am picturing a couple circuits that would look sweet with those strung across the board rather than green towers. I just wonder about the sound difference, do these sound like MF, polyester, ceramic, tantalum...? I've noticed a difference just in polyesters... I had a pair of .1's at one point that were some strange brand I picked from a bin, just greenies. They had a sharper sound to them in some circuits, almost sounded like tants or ceramics... sharper, dirtier sounding, I guess. All the rest of the polyesters I've had sound the exact same to me, regardless of quality or source, as long as they are the greenies.  :icon_confused:
Give a man Fuzz, and he'll jam for a day... teach a man how to make a Fuzz and he'll never jam again!

I never got around to doing a side by side test. And ATM, those are the only 0.01uf caps I have.
But I am planning to go to my supplier tomorrow for some other stuff.
