Asymetric clipping

Hi everyone, I have just bought a tube screamer ts9 and want to make a few mods. I am interested in changing the clipping(to the diodes next to the opamp) and want to use a mosfet as as diode. can anyone tell me exactly how to wire this? no schematics please..........I cant really read them too well!

Well why do you want to use asymmetric clipping, and why do you want to use a MosFet for this task?

I'm not saying you are wrong to want to do it, but it may be unrelated to what it is you want your pedal to do.

Take a look at the Tonepad project for the TS-9 and SD-1.  The two differ by very little.  One of the differences is that the TS uses 2 diodes, and the SD uses 3.  Maybe try that out first, and see if it does what you want.
