You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

KazooMan

Smalbear has 9mm pots.  They work well for the "Dig Dug" seek wah clone.   I DID have to modify the pot circuit board to all a bit more space so I could use the knobs.

Aren't those one's ZVex uses actually heavy duty trimpots?

Valoosj

Zvex uses the black ones that you can find in my link.

My last order from Banzai came in 3 seperate batches and took 8 weeks to complete. That was a year ago, haven't used them since.

well and it took them about 20 days to ship my package putting me in the Xmas period which made the package to arrive in 1 and half month.. but it wasn't that bad. everything came in it's place, nothing was missing, everything was in one box and also the shipping to my country takes long anyways.

anyways for you, guys in America and whatnot, there are better suppliers but i've noticed Banzai has got a huge bunch of parts that are otherwise hard to get?

That is  the horizontal mount version, there is the vertical mount as well.  The pins fit in 100 mil spaced perfboard, and so do the big metal solder tabs, if you drill out the perf hole they would go into bigger.

Forgot to take a picture of the insides, but this one used the vertical mount ones, and the circuit board is just kind of squeezed in there, vertically.

I like Banzai! Of course they are based in Germany so I guess they ship faster to Europe.

Valoosj

I live in Belgium, which is right next to Germany and still it took them over 2 months on more than half my orders with them. Once I had to wait for 5 months for a 9mm alpha pot.
They may advertise a lot of stuff on their site, but they sure don't have it all in stock.

Plus they screw you with their shipping cost. Musikding is much better as far as I am concerned.

musikding have nice trimpots that they offer 'knob' sticks for.

^ I think that it's some sort of sequencer, and the LEDs indicate the current step.

so.. theyre just 9mm pots? looks much smaller on the picture and seekwah..

thanks guys!!.. oh and about banzai: I order there sometimes, because they have discount and more choice in the ' looks' part of my designs then the local places.
i have good and bad experience ranging from two weeks to 4 months orders with 4 different shippings.. currently waiting for 4 knobs backorder.. since february this year :(
