Not sure if this is appropriate here or not...my first post...
I have an older Visual Sound ChorusH20 Echo unit. The thing started background noise on the chorus function recently...low level bacon frying noise. I looked at the board and tapped it too, but see no cracks etc. Keep thinking it's a cable but it just isnt. Also tried a battery instead of wall wart to no avail. I'm really liking this pedal, had to replace one pushbutton switch. It's an older one... V1 or V2. It's a little more than your average hiss, crackling...etc "frying bacon" I looked at the board for about 20 minutes with my magnifier. Just couldnt find a problem. One little disc cap was microphinic a little when I tapped it but no change when it was replaced. It was working fine ...All of a sudden this started. Arghh I guess I could just start replacing chips at random...but maybe someone here has had this problem...?

We've had a few. I suggest that you contact the repair guy at Visual Sound. He's very, very good at fixing these, and he refers things he can't handle to me. He tries to make repairs quickly, and we try to keep repair costs down.

Try support@visualsound.net

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
