Jacks on top

So, to save precious pedal board real estate, I made the following drilling template with input/output/power on the top side of a 125B. I realize that there will be a slightly longer wire to get the signal to and from the switch, for which I plan to use shielded wire. Other than that, does anybody see any problems with such a design?

(If anyone's interested, I can post the diagrams with full measurements, which can be used for instance by Pedal Parts Plus)

Be double sure your jacks are not going to hit your pots.

Did that once already. (Looks like it should clear though...)

The straight jacks sticking up wasn't what I wanted, angle jacks had a tended to interfere with the controls.
I put the jacks on the fronts and use angle jacks, have seen others who have thought through all the angles and looked to be doin' well with the top mounted jacks.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

this helps a lot but no battery hookup.

Please, do - I've used this arrangement before, ands the jacks have cleared the pots but more by good luck than good judgement: A 'verified' drill template would be very useful!

I've found alternating "top jack" and "side jack" pedal works well for saving some sideways space, whilst reducing the number of upwards pointy cable you would get if they were all topjacks.

should be cool as long as you use something similar to

Do you know of a source in the US for these?

Indeed, I don't do batteries. Never did, never will. But if you move the switch a few fractions of an inch upwards, you can easily fit in there. I'll post the diagrams soon. Treat them with caution for now, they're still unconfirmed (awaiting the first batch from PPP).

GGG sell predrilled 125B enclosures with the jacks on top. Just look in parts list.

Neat! Never noticed (never ordered there). Still, it's neat to have my own ;)
