You're very welcome! It was just a lucky Google images find.

First control on the upper portion from the left is a 1p3t rotary switch isnt it?

kenny segal has a great take on wah circuits. i only have played his wahs in the mold spore, but the stand-alone part of the wah is a beauty wah sound in itself.

I have the Mold Spore as well, but I had to modify it to make it true bypass. There was a very faint grumbling coming through my amp when the effect was off. I sent an email to Snarling Dogs and I think Kenny was the one who responded. He said there was a way to fix it, but I would have to send him the pedal. I opted not to do that. Instead, I did a little tracing around on the circuit board and managed to move the input to the fuzz circuit to the other side of a switch so it wasn't in there sucking tone all the time.

I just thought it was weird that the box and the manual had all this hoopla about their True Hard Mechanical Bypass when they actually weren't true bypass at all.  :icon_confused:

Got one of these at home if you still need any help   :icon_cool:

interesting. i have a stock one here and another one that had the switches installed by kenny. now i want to compare to see if they are the same. the one in my videos is the kenny-wired one.

I had a Mold Spore years ago and also loved the standalone wah tone... looks like that 1p3t switch is just selecting different caps, anyone know the values?

Mines a bass wah so Im no help as a far as caps go........ I did connect the white and red wire last night and its a good wah I jjsut need to find a 1p3t pot style switch.... small bear doesnt have em and I cant ever find s#^t on mousers site, typed it in on google and keep getting these weird sites with old switches that look nothing like whats in the wah......

anyone got a 1p3t similar to the one in the pic they wanna sell or trade for? Was that you meant by I ahve one of those ACS?

Hoffman may have what need. It's pretty heavy duty (definitely check to see if it will fit), but I think it would work. Just scroll down to "3 Way rotary impedance switch" here: http://www.hoffmanamps.com/MyStore/perlshop.cgi?action=template&thispage=Switches&ORDER_ID=344877715

i have a second mold spore here for examination. the cap values are supposed to be .0047, .01 and a  third-  .0033 paralleling .022, making for .025. my unit looks like the little ladies on the assembly line may have stuck the wrong caps in the wrong slots. the values are all there, but they don't seem to be in the correct order. would have to pull the board to really verify, which i lack the time for right now.

by the way, the spore board looks identical in the cap selection section to the picture above. ( black wire coming from rotary sw to connector, 4 small green caps adjacent, just below retainer for wah rack). in my unit the larger .01 cap is in a different location, but does not correspond with what i believe to be the correct wiring. the pic in the thread looks correct.

Do they make a left hand version of the Mold Spore?  :icon_lol:

That looks like a fun wah pedal. I should get one someday...

Looks like it would work elvis..... I noticed on mine it has a red, yellow, white, black and then what looks like shielding but seems to be a ground. If you gator clip to it its cuts the sound off which Is why Im thinking ground? Notice the plug on the board has 5 slots but only 4 wires going to the switch that I can see.

anyone else see something different?

there is a 5 pin term clip on the pcb end. the 5th wire is a shield. grounded on the pcb side, floating inside the heavy black shrink on the switch end.

that piece is clipped way off Id have to solder a new wire to it, where would that ground? or did you already tell me to the underside of the pcb

what piece?  the five wires are only five wires on the term clip at pcb. at the switch there are only 4 since the ground floats an that end. the ground is protected insde the shrink wrap on the switch end.
