What fuzz to get this sound?

Hey guys! I'm trying to find a fuzz that will nail the sound of the guitar solo of this song (solo starts at 2:20):

When they recorded this song he wasn't using a fuzz pedal (or any pedal that I'm aware of), but it sounds like I should be able to get that exact sound with some sort fuzz variation. The question is, which one? Any suggestions that might point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

all it takes is something shitty to make it fuzzy. some solid state practice amps sound like that when you crank them to 11. farty speakers maybe.

FlyingZ hit the nail on the head. It is just an overdriven mixer preamp, but I'm hoping to reliably recreate it in a stompbox. I actually may take a look at something like the psychtar. Thanks for the suggestions guys! I appreciate the input!
