I was looking to use a snippet of the Boss FA-1, which you can see here:

I was hoping to keep the slew rate compensation cap, I feel like that is essential to the sound.
It's been difficult sourcing a replacement though.

Could I use an LM308, just move around the pinout when I do a layout? Would that be similar?

BYOC has them in stock for $5.  They just released an FA-1 kit.  http://www.buildyourownclone.com/storeics.html

It's funny, one of my things that I've been meaning to get around to is take the front end of my RE-501 Chorus Echo and convert it to an FA-1 type thing, it has a pretty miserably low input impedance so at very least the fet input part would help me out.  Building a Mini-booster into the input of my RE-101 was certainly a huge improvement.  The 501 goes: Input Jack--->selectable attenuator--->HA1457--->attenuator--->main pcb.  I was thinking of ditching the first attenuator and moving the attenuator at the tail end to where the volume control is on the FA-1 and adding the FET to the input, then maybe I'll add that BAX EQ to the end.
New and exciting innovations in current technology!

I actually just found them at SmallBear elec for 2 bucks.

Not sure if I want to buy them if there's a bettery way to do it. Plus, I still
Am unsure of the pinout of the 1457, I can't find a datasheet on it at all! :(
