Anti-switch pop 1 meg to GR

I'm finishing up an Acetone Fuzzmaster and etched a board from the Uzzay.  I usually do the ole 1 meg to ground after the input for switch popping and realized that I had forgotten to drill an extra couple of holes for this resistor on my board.  I was wondering, if I soldered a 1 meg on the switch from sw input to sw ground if this would accomplish the same result?
