More seek wah LDR questions..Using a vtl5c4/2?

I have a vtl5c4/2 ldr that is used in my general guitar gadgets ef440 envelope filter.
I'd much rather sacrifice the envelope filter if I can use the part to get this seek wah up and running.
I'm confused because the ldr from my ef440 has 5 leads and other ldrs I've seen have 4.
Then to throw me off even more, in the project file it shows the ldr only having 2 leads...

Any suggestions?

looks like a standard 2 leg ldr is used...not a vactrol on that layout...

I'm really lost when it comes to LDR's. I don't understand at all. I saw that solderman made his own ldr which had 4 legs.
I understand that the layout looks like a 2 leg ldr is used. So there's no way to make this one I have work?
Vactrol?

i presume on that layout that  D11 faces the ldr...

the led faces the ldr and flashes on/off into the ldr changing its resistance up n down...giving you the lfo....and 4 legs..

use a bit of heatshrink around the led /ldr joined together, to block out any outside light....i sometimes put a dab of black nail varnish on the undersides of both
to stop any light getting in....
