unwanted level drop in parametric eq pedal

I built this parametric eq pedal from this layout awhile back:

it works, except when the pedal is in, there's a 13.6 dB volume drop. so I tried swapping the 100k resistor between the two opamps at the top with a 6.8k resistor, hoping that would give me approximately a 13 dB boost. It did in fact boost the signal, but too much and the affected signal no longer sounded like the bypassed signal. Is there something easy I can do to make the volume level the same when the pedal is in as it is when it's out? I did record a signal passing through the pedal and not, normalized the level and it does sound fine. It just seems to be an unwanted level drop. Do I need to add another opamp for the make up gain? (the schematic is linked in this link)

Voltage on the actives...are they within ballpark for good operational bias ?
Signal is indeed getting into and out of the opamps with staging caps etc. ...audio probe the path.
Look at the opamp resistors to determine how much boost each stage might be expected to provide / compare with the audio probe results.
ie...if it's working right and there's a volume drop, could be the schematic is a fragment intended to have perhipheral circuits overcome the volume drop.
This isn't as necessary with verified / tried circuit schematics or layouts, but if it's eq-ing nicely and all it needs is some gain recovery...another opamp'll should be able to do that.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

It says it's able to give an 18dB boost so it sounds like it's not working properly to me or the schematic or layout are incorrect.
You haven't accidentally used a 330k Ohm resistor instead of the 330 Ohm, have you that would give a volume drop.

YES! Slacker, I can't believe you guessed that! How embarassing! Well, I've certainly learned something from both your comments. Thank you guys for your help. The pedal works great!
