Hey thanks paulyy I definitely think that was a great point in the direction. I do need .22 but I'm also thinking is to tropical fish. For both .01 or .22 as well as film in foil. Problem is I couldn't search eBay if I depended on it. If you could find either specified above do let me know please.

It used to be Morley Pro Series II Wah\Volume and now it is Jfet wah:

White PCB fragment is Morley remains - a section which contains LDR and LEDs to drive the circuit. It is a basic wah circuit, may be modded with Q-control knob.

ch1naski

That sure has a LOT of transistors on it...
Mockingbird wish me luck.

Zapp where did you come up w that idea! Wonder if it sounds as crazy as it looks (in a good way) also since you still have the Ldr in there you auta throw in a 555 circuit w a pot and hook it up to the ldr w a switch and creat a rotary effect. Had a bud do it once. Clean build btw!

Take it guys, sounds really nice indeed:

The article is in russian, but if you are eager to build the thing, I can answer your questions. This is what I can say right now: transistors T2-T5, T7 are KP303A (j 201), T1 is KP303E (you may try j308-310, bf244), T6, T8 are KP103I (it's p-channel jfet, you can try j175 or you may try to find another p-channel jfet which is complementary pair for j201). Those shining metal things are russian military stock transistors  :icon_biggrin:

The coil is 0,2H (300 rounds of 0.15 mm wire, the core is ferrite toroidal and has permeability around 2000-2500), but it can be calculated more precisely with RLC calculator (try to Google it).

In my scheme C6 cap has 22 nf value, not 33 nf as in the original.

P.S.: Important note - it is possible to build Jfet wah using only j201, but you'll have to remove T5-T6 section and modify T7-T8 section with a source resistor for T8, values of L1=0,6H C6=0,01uF, R2=68K R3=1,5K.  In that case application of factory-made coil is possible (0.5-0.6 H from Cry Baby).

Ok wow for the wah! And yup like that you might want to tinker a bit to make it to taste bu if done right you can pull a rotary style sound. Pretty nifty for so few parts and the morley's just lend a perfect platform.

That is amazing, zapp.

Well done Zapp :D

I love Mother Russia. My son's name is Dimitri ( here in Brazil we need to use all the "I" letters )

What is the name of Zeus' lightning bolt is that??  :icon_eek:

A tube-based Wah?

Yep! You are right. This is tube-based wah, bridge T filter instead of inductor coil. Tube is 6n2p (12AX7). One important note: the device has low input impedance, so it requires 47-100K resistor on the input in series with C1, or you may just plug a stompbox with high output impedance before it.

Killer again Zapp  :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted:

Cool pedal Guero...

Care to explain what it is/does?

It does wah! :D :D :D

simple circuit nothing special just good capacitors , retrofit ( small board )

Cool. Thought there might be something special happening in there...

Is that a shield over the inductor OR is that the inductor itself?

No :(  just a good components
Yes, it's a metal shield

really interesting circuit. Do you by any chance an english version of the article ?

(by the way , the gtlab gives me a malware alert , maybe a false positive though)
