(BTW; how was the bass gig?)

Oh, it was fun. I was all prepared with the songs that they were doing, then I get there and the setlist has a couple that I was specifically told not to worry about! And a girl wanted to sit in on a couple of songs that weren't on the setlist. And the guy that hired us (it was a private party) wanted to hear a couple of other songs, so it was pretty wacky. Lots of figuring out the songs as we were playing them. Lots of the singer/keyboardist yelling out the chords as we're playing the songs. Lots of fun, though. Kind of jammy classic rock stuff. It kept me on my toes!

So here's what I can figure out so far:

The one on the lower left (U13) is an SA572D
The one by the two smaller LED's (U14) is an MC33179DG
The one to the right of the stomp switch (U15) is a 33178
The one above the trimmer on the right (U12) is (maybe) a TL072
The one above the "normal" sized one between the two right-hand pots (U3) is a F4013BT
The big "normal" sized one is MN3204
The one between the two left-hand pots (U1) is a NEF4053BT
The one under the right-hand pot (U9) is a CD4504BM

And there are ones under the other pots (but way under them). Do we need the numbers off of these?

There's plenty of info here to get going on the original question/idea. Boost the output. I don't think anybody is going to clone this so; while I'm interested; the IC's under the pots can wait for another day. Unless of course some brave soul wants to rev engineer this and draw a schematic. :icon_eek:
I'll have a look/see today and report back later.
Mystery lounge. No tables, chairs or waiters here. In fact, we're all quite alone.

Does anyone think the schematic is close to the one that's online (Google search -- I believe it's for the original 117) or is it way different? I don't know nearly enough to even make a guess.

I'm gunna say it looks pretty different, companding for a start, 15ICs from what you've said atleast (the original had a lot less) although some of that may be switching... i'd hope they'd know to keep the base circuitry the same but who knows what development it went through.

Unfortunately, that's what I thought. I got one of those new Vox V845 Wahs and it sounds very good right out of the box, but it has WAY too many components for it to be just a "standard" wah circuit. And it's supposed to have no buffers, so it should even have less components than the V847. I don't have the skills to trace the circuit out, so it will continue to remain a mystery to me, at least.
