Hey. Are there any project enclosures available that are slanted and bulky looking? something like a squared off version of the original vox tone bender case.

Mike is making a Tonebender MK1 replica enclosure like the
one in your link (buildafriend).
The only difference is that the top fits over the bottom
half and overlaps about a half inch (no beer gets inside  )
and it's stronger as well. I have one here as a prototype
and it's very nice indeed.

Those are nice, but they really are too expensive. that costs more than the circuitry I plan to put inside of it. The thing is, I am making something that will be going on shelves in a boutique store with hopes that it sells and makes me money. I could probably have a machine shop around the corner make me that for the same price after shipping.

With anything i've built from tube amps to little solid state stuff,  the circuitry has always cost peanuts compared to anything else involved in the project. Unless you're using found objects or making your own, enclosures are costly!

The enclosure will be the second most expensive part in any pedal. The cheapest parts will generally be the wire, resistors, and then silicon (unless you are going with vintage mojo and there is nothing wrong with that). The most expensive part in a pedal will be your time. Check out R.G's paper on the economics of building at geofex.

At this point in the game I can DIY much cooler looking things for cheaper. I've seen slanted cases in project stores for half of that, no offense to the manufacturing of them. They are nice if you can dish out cash.

I think ill start with found objects.

Found objects can be pretty cool and cheap. There are several threads here discussing this. Scrap from metal shops can be a good as well. Check with local distributors. They usually have a bin of cut off pieces that you can have at a discount.

And you'd have a hard time finding a more robust enclosure, they are solid, well made and Mike's a pleasure to deal with!

I *think* the "SearchText=blnk" is to search for "blnk" which indeed seems to be their keyword for "blank" products, no conduit holes.

Ah, they changed their search-tool syntax. Today it is ---

Thank you, that worked. I could not find any sloped/beveled enclosures. Would you know where I could find some. The best site I found was pedalenclsures.com, but they are no longer in business. They had the sloped enclosures for the best prices.
