Hi i am building a big Muff pi triangle head (as the subject if the topic says)
This is my second project, the first one was a Muff Fuzz

My problem is that i can get any sound of the stompbox, only a "Hum", i read the RG debugging page and says something about the AC power, I'm using a "cheap" AC/DC adapter, and i can't buy a battery until Monday.

Also as you can see in the information to build the stompbox http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=94 , it says that you need this capacitors:
two 0.05 uF
one 0.004 uF

But i only can find 0.01uF and 0.002 uF, i was wondering if this can "screw" the protect.

Finally, i always have troubles with the cables, they always burst and i dont know why, i tried different kinds of cable, and it's always the same.

I would try to upload some photos of the protect, and a sound file of the noise that the stompbox makes.

Thanks :D

Not sure I understand cable / bursting...
The value of the little ''diode caps'' determines how much HF filtering. Will sound trebly-bright without them altogether.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Does the hum respond to the pots?

No, it's a constant hum, the pots are not working
here is ab audio file with the sound it makes http://www.zshare.net/audio/939141054061955d/

I mean, the little copper wires inside the cable gets broken, exactly were the protector plastic ends.

Thanks for all your help
