What is going on at the bottom of the single sided PCB for the Fat Pants......there is a LED with SW denoted.....is it a switch, a led, and why?  :icon_confused:

Take a look in the top left corner of the schematic.  That looks like the offending article.

...no, I'm not entirely sure what that'd achieve either beside a LED you can turn on and off for some reason?
I made the transistor angry.

OK that confused me even more looking at that schematic......why would there be a LED that you can just turn on and off???

So assume I can just omit the LED and R5 resister?

It's the status LED. You use one of the poles of the 3PDT switch to switch it if you're using one. The LED would normally be mounted to the top of your box and connected to the board with wires.

It's a way to reduce offboard wiring.  The LED resistor is on the board, so you would only need to run 1 wire to the switch to indicate when the pedal is off or on.
Try a little tenderness.

Pretty much this.
