Just built a Shredmaster on this PCB

Found this PCB and soldered it up:



1) has anyone built one on this PCB? wondering if it's been verified (i think it's on a site named handmades..the site is out but i downloaded a pdf at one time)

2) it worked 1st time, but doesn't really sound like the clips I've heard on YT of various SM's and clones. The contour and treble are very interactive (to the point of rolling the volume way off at certain settings), the bass control is inaudible, and overall the gain seems not very tweakable. Do any of these symptoms ring any bells for anyone?
