Just a thought I had today. I'm working on Jimi in a box, which i've been harping on about for months, even years.
Anyway, I have the box now, and i'm ready to start drilling and fitting to the enclosure, however, The Octavia is the only 'module' that has three knobs, all the others have two or four, so it sort of ruins the look a little. I'm therefore thinking of adding a tone control. I know it's a stupid reason to wire in an extra control, but hey!
So, has anybody used any tone controls, and can you give me any tips? I'm thinking of just using a cap to ground, but i'm open to suggestions.

Well, I'm not too familiar with the schematic (the sound's a different story  :icon_twisted:)

But, my best advice would be to go down to TWO controls... in fact, I've never heard of an Octavio with three controls... maybe it's a different layout than I'm familiar with? are you using GGG's? your own?

The point of having two controls is that sometimes less is better. Especially on this guy.  You can get a TON of tonal variation and sensitivity (more than you'll ever need from this build) just from adjusting the volume on your guitar.  It can clean up quite nicely with the Sustain* control (*or is it Fuzz?) as high as 12o'clock and using controlled picking/attacking technique in combination with volume lower, then bring up for a heavy push.

Still a tubey noobie. Been doing this a while, and still can't figure much out, smh.
