over at the commonsound (4ms) kits wiki.

its a Fuzz face > BMP tone control > LPB. I'm a little skeptical that this would be any better than a silicon fuzz face. anyway I posted it since not everyone knows about the commonsound site. I would like to know if anyone built it or has any mods.

Reminds me of this, which me and Slade and El Musico Loco have built and dearly love.

anytime I use a 100R in place of the 330R in a fuzz face, it has very low output. it does sound good but I often gave up on it. this seems like a good way to keep that sound in a usable pedal. I see you used flat (flatter, flat-ish?) mids which I like. it would be supper easy to turn that LPB into an electra. or you could throw diodes and a post diode volume on the output for a 4 knob fuzz.

I built one a few months ago for my brother-in-law. It was alright, but nothing that blew me away. The mud control didn't do much for me, so I omitted it and added a sag pot instead. Not sure I'd build another, too many others I'd want to build first. Cool fuzz, just not what I was hoping for at the time.
If it ain't broke...   ...it will be soon.

this is exactly what I was thinking. built the NPN fuzz face and the LPB before. doesn't seem like they magically turn into awesome when you stack them.

Yeah, I built this, a Wooly mammoth, and a Dirty Sanchez, all at the same time. I love the Mammoth and the Sanchez was cool too. Of the three though, the Fuzz Jade kind of fell into no man's land. Not the crazy noise maker I hoped for, and not the greatest sounding fuzz either.
