I got a box filled with some 80s effects at swap meet for $20 about 20 years ago and decided to see what could be used abused, repaired, and rejected into the trash or CL. There was a nice Rat pedal, but it is not like what I know to be a Rat 1 or Rat 2. It looks like a Rat 1, and has to be that old maybe older. The Rat 1 and 2 as I know them have two fewer diodes. This Rat has the same chip, but has 4 diodes in the clipping circuit not 2. It also has a way different board layout. Any Ideas? The rest of the box had a Dr Rhythm (Boss/Roland) a Boss EQ, and 3 DOD pedals. A really old splatter paint phase shifter that had been cannibalized for a jack and switch, a working DOD stereo Phaser that I can't locate, and their "Hard Rock Distortion" with the delay using an MN 3007 BBD and MN 3101 clocking chip. I think that was all that was in there. I am curious about which Rat this is. Conditionwise it is the best cosmetically. I will try to post some pics. My attempts in the test section failed. I are 2 stoopid to figure it owt.  :icon_confused: That Rat PC board is totally new to me. (or old)
