I just picked one up used and really am impressed with the lack of noise and great tones.  Opened it up and it has some solder side components...5 resistors, 3 1uf lytic caps and a trim pot.  Can anyone verify if that is how they come stock??  If it's modded, whoever did it has good skills.  Thanks

Definitely modified.  Rev D's, and all of them I think for that matter, should have all components on the same side.

Cool...now that I know I'll look into it and try to figure it out.  Thanks

Looks like r2 and r7 were both replaced with series resistors (r2 is now 2 220k's and r7 is now 2 470k's) with a 1uf coming off the junction of the series...r14 was replaced with a 200k trimpot.  Any ideas??  Also looks like a 10k and 1uf coming off Q1.  Thanks

If a trimpot was added, it's possible that the previous owner added that to control the attack/release (still confused over that one) of the DynaComp.  Stock DC's have a slow attack that causes pumping at higher sensitivity settings, so many guys will mod them to have an adjustable attack control.  Can anyone verify that the components that he mentioned might be part of an adjustable attack mod?.
