So I am still tweaking my Red Llama.

I want to add a 50/50 blend or a tone knob.

Any bass players mod there Red Llama clone to make it a little more suitable for bass?

Thanks!

Here is both an inverter based tone control and a direct bypass that will allow undistorted bass thru.  ;)

Mine has a BMP tone control in it, but I think it would be more useful with a clean blend. If I could do it again, I´d include both mods.

I'll suggest a third option: a blend control that rolls off the top end of the clean tone so that you blend in clean low end.

The standard BMP type control is a simple RC lowpass and CR highpass filter harnessed to a reciprocal pan control.  More of the bass/lowpass side gets you less of the treble/highpass side.  The Llama circuit tends to take out the really low end, and what it doesn't take out gets swamped by the mids and highs it produces through clipping.  Blending clean back in is fine, but blending clean highs (assuming you're not playing an EBO or something farty like that) with clipped highs may get an unsatisfying mish-mash.  So consider the blend control as adding in clean lows for some definition, while not detracting from the character of the clipping.
