Hey guys. I'm fairly new to this whole rehousing business.

I'd like to rehouse an old DD-6 I have laying around, simply because I want to learn more.

Basically, I know that most of the stuff is board mounted, so I understand it'll be fairly tough to relocate the pots and the jacks. The main thing I want to do is replace the switch with a momentary SPST switch. I'll put it into a new enclosure. I do understand that the switch controls the on/off and the tap if you hold it down for 2 seconds. Is this going to be a problem?

Can anyone walk me through the actual process of re-wiring the switch? That would be awesome.

Thanks!

Hey. RG has an amazing article about the technology of boss and ibanez bypassing at geofex.com. Towards the end he shows and explains how to do that.

Cheers
