Has anyone tried modding a Pro Co Rat to run on 18V supply?

Okay, got the point of those two last posts.  But the opamp does continue to swing to it's clipping point, and adds that bit more distortion?  Or do I not understand how these diode clippers work?   I've always heard that the opamp clipping and slew rate limiting are important parts of the whole Rat sound.

I can corroborate the whole Rat 18V thing - upgrade the caps and it's a noticeable improvement.

The way I've always understood it to work is the opamp distorts at a higher voltage threshold than the diodes, which then clamp the signal further as they're still receiving a "high-voltage," albeit clipped, signal.
