gain of a ts-808

Since I JUST read about the tube reamer being too loud I may change the gain back to 4.25 lol

would this at all maybe smooth everything out if i put the diodes in the 2nd lower gain stage? im aiming for a twist on transparent what my jekyll and hyde sounds like when i use the distortion know most the way back (8-9 oclock)  and the gain on the ts almost 3\4 of the way up. the thing i like most it that it keeps the edge of distortion but is rounded smoother by the ts808 side of the pedal. so i wonder if by implementing diodes in the 2nd gain stage if it would take the edge from the distortion in the shaping section and smooth out the clipping a tad while still being heavier than a tube screamer.

in may change to the members only section or something tonight if nobody catches this. wrong kind of post for the subject though it became relevant for me lol
