Multieffect project using XT Live housing

Hello everyone,my next project is this xt live housing to be used as multieffect casing.so far i finished riot,diablo,deep blue delay,snow white,and zombie chorus.next build are love squeeze and phase 90.i was wondering how to convert the existing control pedal so i could use it as volume or wah.it is optical controlled.i need help what to do with it.These are some pictures.
