I have used the smallbear laser printer waterslide decal stock and it's pretty solid, but even after applying the micro sol solution that is supposed to "melt" the stock onto the face of the enclosure, the edges of the decal still show through under the clear coats of paint I apply.  Am I doing something wrong?  Is there a certain method or technique to getting this to work a little better?

I use those materials, with that technique, with good results. It takes many coats of clear, though. I usually do 2-3 thin coats, bake it, cut the holes, and then do several more coats of clear before baking it again.

Looks great.. so is this maybe as good as the "normal" waterslide decals.. ?
