For those who built Anderton Ring Mod from GGG pcb and failed.....

..... you need to connect pins 4 and 5 together and 6 and 7 together of LM565 for circuit to work! Check the schematic in the book and compare to the General Guitar Gadgets pcb artwork and you'll see what I'm talkin' about.
I was debugging this thing for a couple of hours last night before I realized what happened.  :icon_idea:

Will drop GGG a line to let 'em know about the problem.

Thanks for letting us know! I tried to build it a couple of years ago and I never got it to work properly. After triple checking everything without finding anything wrong I said to myself that maybe this circuit is really really subtle and I put it aside finding no real use to it.
If I can find the board I will try to do those corrections.

You're very welcome, Vince! After finding the error I imagined how many others built this and tossed it aside in frustration.
A couple of good mods to add are putting a switch (SPDT) in place of C2 to make a hi/lo frequency range control between .1uf and .047uf caps. Also R12 can be replaced with 33k resistor in series with 100k pot for a dirt control.
