:icon_question:Im looking for DIY projects from a book that used to be advertised in the Electronics Now magazines around 1995. A company called ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY TODAY INC. used to advertise electronics experimenter's books. The one Im looking for is called: Electronic Projects for Guitar, the book code
was PCP117 for $12.95 It would be cool if someone uploaded these projects from this book.
Also,I wanted to mention a company that had DIY effects that you sent off for thru the mail.
It was called Synthetech Research from Pennsylvania.Whatever happened to them?

I believe Mark Hammer has some of Penfold's projects at his site:

I tried to build his tracking ring modulator ("light metal effects") years ago but could never get it working. The only other person I knew who tried to build one had a similar experience. I think the circuits tend to require some tinkering to really get them to work, but there are some cool ideas there for sure.

this book preview shares some circuits.

i borrowed this book from the local library and put together the compressor and a tremelo .... they both sound pretty good ... the book is mostly schematics ( no PCB layouts ) so you have to roll your own board ... a few have vero layouts ...

Wow, THAT book! Back when I was a newb I found that book in the library and laboriously copied out the circuit diagrams. Then eventually figured out that all the really interesting projects used obsolete parts  :-\
