Thanks for the word, and good luck with everything. I hope all of the personal & health stuff sorts out well for you. This should be the last of your worries.

Can't express how glad I am that Beavis Audio will be back.  Definitely one of the top sites for this stuff.  Thanks for everything, Dano.

Dano, no offence taken. If refunding my donation makes you feel better, I'll gladly accept them, do renew the domain though, some scum will snag the domain otherwise and you'll have to pay sick money to get it back.

Dano: good to hear from you... do what you need to do to get yourself up there again. One small word of advice though. You say fixing it yourself is part of the healing process. For people who have been giving a lot, like you have to all of us over the years, sometimes receiving can be the root to healing...

Cheers

True dat, Erik. FWIW, I don't look at my modest contribution as being to Dano/Beavis as much as to the community, to retain a valued resource. So do what works for you, but don't feel as though returning the money is demanded is a matter of personal integrity, if it will help return the resource to the community. You've done your part by assembling the resource (just as Aron, Jack, RG, Paul, Charlie and so many others have).

Best wishes, Dano. Thanks for the support you've given not only to this community, but untold others.  As someone who's been through a rough situation in my personal life some years ago, I learned that there are certain situations that require the assistance of others even though we feel that we should do it all ourselves.  Again, best wishes as you work through this. - JD

Sending good vibes your way, Dano.  I think I can say we've all been there, and that all of us have benefitted from your generosity in one way or another.  Here's to better days, man.

Hi all, sorry for the delay in responding. Yes, life has interfered with beavis over the last few years. As you've probably noticed, there haven't been any updates or new projects for quite a while.

What can I say? Difficult times, a big change in my personal life, health issues, the whole shebang.

I'm going to try to find time next week to get the domain renewed and get the site back up and running.

Thanks to all for the concern, however PLEASE NO DONATIONS. I'll work over the next few days to issue refunds to all those kind souls who have been so generous, but I really need to fix all this on my own, part of the healing process you know :) Please do not take offense, your kindness has been really incredible, and speaks volumes about the family-like nature of the DIY community.

Good to hear from you on this whole thing. I can understand where you're coming from and I respect that. I hope you get things all worked out. All in time...

Back up. Woot, etc.

Sorry about that.

HE'S BACK!

Nice to have the site back, now everyone can take their own personal backup of it  :P

Edit: Dano beat me to it thanks to "resource limit reached".

I tried to check out one of the projects and got a message the domain was expired and "pending renewal or deletion".

Beavis Hi Fi had been working in the absence of BeavisAudio, i guess one step at a time. This worked fine for me moments ago.

HOORAY!!!!!!!

Dano, I just wanted to express my gratitude for your site (a giant folder of every photo it contained now saved to my desktop). You quite literally have enabled my to learn about and explore this fantastic area of electronics. Without you, I wouldn't know half of what I do now. So thanks.

So huzzah! Beavisaudio is back!!!!!

Hope all is going well for you personally.

It doesn't work fine for me.  :icon_frown:

Hi Paul,

I'm still good with that link but the Beavis HiFi, no. I'm clueless as to what issue(s) might be causing the block you're experiencing.

Well I guess the hi-fi stuff is what I'm having a problem with, didn't realize it was two seperate domains. I wanted to check out that "inexpensive hi-fi amplifier for your bookshelf system", but can't.  :icon_frown:

me too , looking to build a jfet ipod preamp , seem besvis hifi was the only guy who had this info too .
