I'm looking for some nice perf board pics

Hi, I hardly ever post here since I hardly ever make pedals but this seemed like the place to go for perf board builds.  I'm planning on making some mic pre's, possibly neve clones, or maybe something even simpler, either way I'd like to do it on perf board.  Can any one point me to some pictures of inspired layouts?

I should have been clearer, I didn't mean layout so much as pictures of finished work.  Whatever topology I settle on I'll probably do a pretty literal translation of the schematic.

Jesus, guys that's really nice work!  I've been doing P2P amps for awhile because I got really bored with PCBs but that stuff is really inspiring.

So, question; I can see how you guys are building "traces" from lead to adjacent lead, but when you need to jumper over several holes (it looks like you're using clipped component leads) do you mechanically fasten that "wire" to the leads or just lay it up and solder it in place?

I hope that makes sense, it was a hard question to phrase.

@EnnPeeEff  Just lay on top because not always the case where the holes are empty.most of the case there is a component leg through the hole.

what I was saying is that the way I did it, you won't need any more than a schematic. no planning at all. the schematic is the layout.
(you could basically superimpose the schematic on top of the build)

If you build as fretzburner & frequencycentral you will need to plan a layout and use twice the amount of solder.
those are very cool builds. I'd like to see the actual layouts.

Those of you who do beautiful perf work like this, is every connection linked by wire, or are some of these connections made simply by solder blobs bridging the pads?

Mine is all wire. Blobs of solder on their own don't really want to flow to the next pad, meaning excess solder and excessive heat, which can lift the pads.

So if you have to join just two pads, do you cut a tiny bit of wire to link them? Or do you use the component leads themselves, so they pass through the board and then fold over to bridge pads (which would make removal and repair more awkward)?

This. Yes it does make removal awkward. Not the best way if you are prototyping.

Tiny bits of wire tend to not go where you want them to though...

No wires on my solder bridging,just pure solder lead.it makes easier for me if add=on modification comes to mind.easy to reroute the trace.

Looks like you've got the technique of solder bridging down to a fine art!

I use all wire on my perf, doubled whereever possible (as in, overlapping the leads of two components) to make a stronger connection. Partly to save solder ...

And yeah, it's a pain to pull stuff if you get it wrong. Sockets are also a bit of a pain.
