I ve just built Ampeg Scrambler and it worked for like 5 minutes and than it started to have some voltage problems. I'm using tonepad Schematic http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=31. After those 5 minutes, or so it started to have some tremolo like pulses, and now its all pulsing. Q3 is kinda hot. Collector voltages are as followed:
Q1: from 6.7 to 12v
Q2: from 3.09 to 6.9
Q3: from 6.22 to 7.40
Q4: from 0 to 2.2 and is really hot now.
Any advice?

Forgot to solder R13. My bad. Bc 517's and an old Bc 547b, matched 1n4148's ( only 2 used ) nice octave up. Can't wait to try it with bass.

If i would want to increase bass response i would have to change input cap only, or C3 and C2/C7?

I always use 100n input, and 10u output caps, couldn't open the schematic on tonepad (this is from an Android phone). Great pedal for bass! Liked mine a lot, think i sold it to fuel the habit.

So 10 u on both of the outputs? I will try it. If i like it i may even consider using a switch to give myself an option of switching between original and bass.

I guess i @#$%ed things up while adding a switch, i get sort of square wave/octave down fuzz and i can mix it with clean. And my bc 547 died so i ve replaced it with BC 549c
