What's your favorite 2-knob circuit?

As for me, the best device is just a 2-knob one:
1. The first knob is ON/OFF
2. The second knob is VOLUME
NO MORE KNOBS !
Too old to rock'n'roll, too young to die

how bout one that came with 8 knobs and you hard wire the other 6 to your favorite positions...
