I assume of course your copper was very clean..etc. I  am just asking to ask. I am sure that's obvious to you. I have had problems with a dull look before, but I just got to where most of the time I could get a really nice shine. You can a sos pad and scrub the tin off and do it again. I have done this before when I did not have an even coat. Sorry if my method sucks for you :icon_frown:

Dont be offended  ;D The PCB faceplates that I tinned turned out OK. The "shine" on them was pretty good and the coating was uniform. My only problems were with the tarnished look and the little bit of copper showing.

In the end, I think it gave it a nice aged look.

Thanks for the tips and help!  ;D
