I pcb-mount as much as I can, now. even if I have to pay double for the PCB fab. will be moving some of my more tried and tested designs to SMD eventually, too. at least the ICs

I don't see any transformers, either. PWM supply? Output transformerless?

Slots are handmade (drill+small files (broach))
Output transformer Hammond 125A.
Power transformer 220->12V AC. Inside of device 12V AC transforms to 350V DC by step-up transformer(made to order) and standard rectifier.
So, 3 transformers per device. One outside and two (output and step-up) inside. No PWM, only classic oldschool

Damn... good job.  I've done that and it's neither fun nor easy to get good results.  I'm lazy, I would have hucked that thing on a mill and kept the round ends.

Props to you! That's pretty sick! You need a Mill, though... that's what they are made for. Pop for a good Baelin bit, and you could run that whole stack in an hour, including a brownie and a beer in between.
