I'm XLR challenged. Preamp help.

So if I build this preamp, how do I wire the output for XLR?  Or this this Line-out only?

I have a few of these. I've read up on them, but haven't used them.

I believe that you need to use a balanced line driver IC, like the DRV134.

The IC in that preamp converts a balanced signal into non balanced. If you're starting with a balanced signal in the first place (like a mic), then all you need is some form of driver that buffers both polarities.

If you're wanting to convert a non balanced signal (eg a guitar signal),  into balanced you need some form of phase splitting circuit....

Ive built a lot of these preamps ..... they have an unballanced output but you can add a DRV134 or use something like an NE5532 configured as a Ballanced line driver to get a ballanced output , you can also use an output transformer .......

They are nice preamp chips and pretty easy to use ......
