I bought a Homebrew Electronics Germania, and it works when the battery is plugged in,but when you plug in an adapter I'm getting nothing.I thought the only thing it could be was the d.c. adapter jack.Replaced that, still nothing.Could it be one of the 1n4001 diodes?I believe there's 3,but they don't look burnt?

polarity? make up some battery clip to dc jack and vice versa converters. often handy.

I sort of understand what you're saying, but can elaborate more? Thanks!

get a male dc power jack of appropriate size. is 2.1mm the norm? solder to pp3 battery clip. make two. one centre neg, t'other centre positive. you can now connect ac adaptors to battery clips for battery only pedals and power adaptor only pedals from batteries.

I figured it out!I went to GGG website and looked at how they have they're d.c. jacks wired, and the homebrew d.c. jack was wired all wrong.I don't know if somebody from homebrew accidently wired it wrong,or if somebody else did.It was used,so there's no telling.Fixed!!Thank you for  your help Artifus!!
