Hi there. Ive just finished building ProCo Rat clone. I was following this layouts http://generalguitargadgets.com/projects/17-distortion/92-rodent.
Well it works but the volume drop is awful. I have Fender Champion 600 at home, i usualy play Low channel on 6 vol. When I switch the rat on,
the volume drops so much that i come close to the bypass volume only if i play on the High gain channel and all the pots are turned all the way up.
But its still quieter. Please help me, I have no idea which component might be causing it. Thank you.

There is no secret solution. We have all been there many times....there's not a single pedal I have built that didn't need debugging.

Go to the debugging post in this forum and follow step by step. Check all voltages , solder joints, ground connections, and make an audio probe in case you still haven't one.

Don't panic and follow the circuit until you find where the error is. 100% of failures in my case were human :) .

Did you actually read the thread before you posted?  It's old, it's unresolved, and there still isn't enough information to even begin to help.  The one reply before yours explained what we need from you.

I asked hoping to hear back from the person who has already dealt with the problem. Not some chump who think's he's smart. *&^*&^...

He hasn't been back since August.  You can help us help you, or...

The answer OP got is the same one you will get. Without any basic information about how the circuit is working (voltages, etc) there is no way to diagnose without taking shots in the dark. Your problem may very well have the same cause, or not!
