About 100% that problem resides in IP filtering (blocking) by your internet provider.
I can send you zipped content of my site.

Viewing pictures & browsing folders does not depend on browser. It must work on any browser.
Try to ping my server IP 217.119.30.118
Also maybe this is DNS problem, try to acccess using direct IP addressing

I know that. I'm saying that whether at work or at home, neither works. The ISP at work is a different ISP than what I have at home. Both of them must have the same policy when it comes to trying to view this website linked in the O.P.

EDIT: I still can't view your link.

Again, can you ping that IP address 217.119.30.118? If not, then it could be your ISP and they may be blocking certain domains. It's not DNS if you can't ping or even get to it via the IP address as a direct IP doesn't require Domain Name System... Can you get to any .ru sites or is it just this site? I would contact your ISP to see what's up?

What country are you in? US? Some ISP's view all .ru and .cn domains for example as a possible threat. So, they block them all with no discretion whether they are or not...

Plug the link/url into here and see if you can get to it.

Yes I am in the US. I don't know of other .ru sites, but my guess is that I couldn't access those either.  :icon_confused:

I can't use the anonymouse link either, the network here blocks it and says it's a "malicious website".

EDIT: I pinged it and apparently that works.

Yes. "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I'm used to this. I'm always the guy with the bizarre problem that no one can explain.

Microsoft recently upgraded me to IE9 without my permission and now I can't download anything- even scans from our office's copy machine.  All of the settings are correct.  I couldn't even run a Microsoft repair program for IE9 because I couldn't download it.  I have to go to a banking website for work that only works with IE. No Firefox.  Very frustrating.

Automatic updates = You involuntarily volunteered to be a Guinea Pig for Microsoft... :icon_biggrin: BTW - There are a lot of complaints about Windows 7/IE9 blocking websites that previously were not blocked... Also Windows 7 has a lot of restrictions and you never really have true administrator rights even though it says you have admin rights, more like slightly elevated rights... There are ways to get around it if you search the internet look for "disabling UAC in Windows 7" also search for "Get full Administrator Rights in Windows 7"

Might just be your personal Internet options security settings. Win XP + IE7 doesn`t cause any problems with that site here.

Go under Tools/Internet Options and in the Security tab make sure all your zones are set at default. Also check under Tools/Manage Add-ins and remove/disable any search add-in besides Google or Bing. I was gonna say Yahoo too but they've just been hacked in the news. As last resort go under Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and click the Reset button to put all Internet Explorer settings to their default values.

Do you run AntiVirus? I'd scan your system for virus and malware. I recommend the free Microsoft Security Essentials (http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.aspx) for anti-viris and spyware, and Malware Bytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org) for anti-malware. I don't like 3rd party Firewalls. Just use Windows's built-in Firewall security and make sure it's on. Before you install any of these make sure you uninstall any other real or suspect "security" software on your system first to avoid any conflicts so they don't fight with each other.

Also Windows Update is a good thing. Make sure you check for updates the evening of every 2nd Tuesday of the month, regardless if you have Automatic Updates on or not. That is not what messed up your system unless you were compromised to begin with and it screwed with the security patch update process.

BTW, I've been doing PC tech work since 1985.

Doh! I'm a dork.  :icon_redface:

I already have IE8 on my machine at work, I was a version behind in my memory (old age must be setting in). I can not open the link in the OP.

I'll have to check on my machines at home which I don't turn on very often anymore, but I think they have IE7 on them still. I did try to install the latest version of IE on one my machines at home and I can't. I think IE9 has to be on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 OS, right? I don't think you can use it in the Windows XP environment.

And I do all the Windows updates. I have anti-virus program on all my machines too. And Windows Firewall is always on.

I haven't tried it. I can't do that while at work, that's a very big file. My internet connection at home is slow compared to work, it would take all day probably  - if it didn't mess up while downloading.

Paul, you can try to open link, download does not immediately starts.
Just to check if link is accessible.

I can access that link without any problem.

KMG, I've just built your version of the V30 emulator and i love it. I did a stripboard version a while ago which was a lot bigger. I really like the way your version is small enough to mount on the output socket. I've listened to the ENGL 530 you did and it sounds great. How do you do the power supply for that please? I saw the board needs 200V. What is the amperage requirement and do you have a layout available for the power supply?
