I have just done a vero layout for the Oz Mutantes Fuzz with the mods suggested by Madbean can somebody verify the layout?

Link to file: http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/Schematics-etc/Deadpool.gif.html

Any help would be greatly appriciated.  Thanks

sorry, never used any vero yet, but just thought I'd mention that the original sounds NOTHING like the Madbean's Deadpool. They made some massive changes to the tone...

That being said, the original doesn't sound that great at all and the Deadpool is probably pretty cool. The original (from the schematic...hard to believe a .1uF between Q2 BC could sound good) was one of the very few fuzzes I just couldn't get good enough to box.

i have a demo of it along with like 20 other fuzz demos:

i used this layout:

just a note: i recorded it thorough a vintage g12m with an oktava 319 which probably makes it fatter and better sounding than in "real life"

I've always assumed the ".1" was an error. The cap should just be there to soften the high end and tame noise and oscillation. Anything larger than a .001uf renders the fuzz pretty useless.

i've built it with the 100n cap and it is actually pretty earpiercing

yes, exactly....that was the first thing I changed.....then you have that great 15K vol pot with a 1.5K in parallel...basically a 1.4K vol pot...and with 2 x 10uF at input/output, how much piercing fuzz can you get? at least there's a switch to a .003uF input.

I built the deadpool a while ago.  Its kinda weird, but not really in good way.  I have trouble working out exactly what the controls are doing, and the actually fuzz effect is a bit meh...
