I use those, they're pretty great! cut off the wings on the side and you have the perfect breadboard pot  :)

Anyone know where/how to find those little felt dust protectors to put on the shaft of these? or else I expect a lot of gunk to accumulate through the enclosure

AES and Radio Daze sell felt washers, i have some from AES. I've since picked up an Olfa circle cutter and will try cutting my own with that in the future. At a fabric store you can get a piece of felt big enough for dozens of washers for very little money and you get a large choice of colours.

You're amassing a nice stock of specialized pots, Steve.  Thanks for getting esoteric!  I just noticed the addition of a little alpha pot with detents, that's great for microprocessor based designs that use a pot as a faux rotary switch.

Quick question, is the arrangement that with the 11 detents such that there are 11 positions for the knob, or 12 positions?  Is there a datasheet?

Hi Ben--
Apologies for not picking up on this sooner; we were away for a few days.

It's more about thinking of iterations that commercial accounts would find useful, either for reducing assembly time or implementing useful features--yea, like presets. I am aware that I can do this much more easily than a broad-line distributor. And having lots of choices also fits into my long-term goal of manufacturing a few "specials" for sale on the site.

I don't have one near-to-hand, but I will check. Will also ask Alpha for the spec sheet.
