Hi, I'm currently breadboarding the Beavis Audio Muff Fuzz and am trying to incorporate the mod mentioned at the bottom of the list where you replace the R1 transistor with a B100K pot to control the feedback between the two transistors.

Now I'm totally new to all this and not sure how to wire in the extra pot. I've had a couple of go's but it's clear I'm gettting it wrong. Could anyone advise me of how to install this mod onto the breadboard please?

Thanks in advance :-)

PS here's the link to the project page i've been building from: http://www.beavisaudio.com/bboard/projects/bbp_MuffFuzz.pdf

Hey there, just connect lug 1 to one side and lug 2/3 to the other side. Doesn't matter which side is on which.

Edit: Slightly more comprehensive answer: This is how you create a variable resistor that increases as you turn the knob clockwise. To create a variable resistor that decreases as you turn it clockwise (as in a gain control from emiter to ground in many fuzzes), wire it with lugs 1 and 2 (together) to one side and lug 3 going to the other side.
