Any reason why CS Power Boost and Octavia in the same box would be a bad idea?

Just wanted to know, and save myself a little trouble if there is  Thanks!

No strong rationale to contra-indicate.  Just be careful of your layout and wiring since there is a lot of potential gain in there that can risk unwanted HF oscillation.  Keep your leads short and don't have wires criss-crossing all over.

Note that the CS Overdrive does not have to be used as an overdrive.  The EQ controls can provide an effective tailoring of the input signal to get optimum octaving.

Thank you Mark, much appreciated!

In the end I just went with the Power Boost. If I end up loving it and feeling it is an essential part of my rig, then I'll upgrade the enclosure itself, get a better switch, install a DC jack etc.
I used BC184B transistors, with hfe around 320, one was below, and one had around 340. That's the best I could find. BC109C's are held by my local dealer so I might try these today. Nevertheless I 've heard that, due to the design, different transistors won't make a hell of a difference.

My Colorsound Overdriver is not that loud, it looks to me like it is a little less loud than a fuzz face with pots maxed. But I may be wrong cause I only got the chance to try this effect last night, at really low bedroom levels.
It does not have a lot of sustain, I would call it a normal amount of sustain, but far from those sustaining Jeff Beck tones of Wired. I do understand that sustain comes with excruciating volume but not having played an original, or somebody's clone I wonder how much sustain is normal for this circuit.
Now when I think about it, it could be a nice idea pairing the Power Boost with an Orange Squeezer maybe. It would round up the boost and it's somewhat harsh clipping, and prolong sustain for those singing bright low gain tones that I am after.

I used Russian PIO caps, Panasonic electros [couple of electros are regular chinese however], one Wima CMKS cap, put an extra 10K trimpot in series with the 12K resistor for gain manipulation.
And yeah, the pedal is very quiet! I expected a lot more noise. I regularly use shielded cables, didn't bother this time and last night I haven't heard anything to indicate that I should shiled the thing. Using this in rehearsal, is a completely other thing, so I'll reconsider doing this after the first trial in the studio.
