Just need a reassurance insofar as the diode bridge is concerned.

I know that DB101 is spec'd, but I've got a line on DB104's real cheap. I know they're rated at 400V, but they should work just fine, right?

For diode bridges, more voltage rating = OK.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Thanks R.G.. Just came across an old post where you mention the DB104 as OK. Thanks again for the reply.  :icon_cool:

EDIT -  Just came across these transformers on Ebay. What's your though on these R.G.? Would they work?

Maybe.

I tend to stay away from lighting-industry magnetics, because they're awfully casual about magnetic leakage. I really suggest the transformer that Weber sells:

Thanks for your advice R.G.

I finally went with the 41PG120, 115v Pri, 12v Sec, Sec. current 120mA.

I can get 16 of them delivered for under 70$. That, and all the other components + enclosure, will give me a clean 16 x 9vdc power supply for around 130$.

I can't get a Voodoo 8x for that, that's for sure!

Cheers,
