Simple pedal friendly guitar preamp layout

Can anyone recomend a simple guitar preamp(vero layout would be nice) to drive the power amp of my guitar amp?A simple volume+tone design is what i am looking for.Best regards

What is the
Input resistance of the amp
The max signal level before clipping or what is the needed output level from the preamp.
What is the amp something you built or ?
